College application fees are an expensive barrier for some prospective students. But this week, a slew of colleges in North Carolina are waiving those fees for College Application Week (Monday through Friday, Oct. 21-25, at 5 p.m.).

And if you’re applying to college, make sure to read our guide to completing the FAFSA to increase your odds of receiving financial aid.

Colleges Waiving Application Fees

Several UNC system schools are absent from the list, including UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State University, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, and UNC-Asheville.

You can also apply to any of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges for free during the week.
